This couch converts into a very comfortable bed, however, just like this it’s also great for naps!
The white table is a foot shorter than the stainless steel table that it replaced, but in a few seconds it can be extended (right side in the photo) to be two feet longer.
With new carpet, couch, coffee table, dining table & chaise cushions in 2019/20 and a new Sony 50” 4K TV in 2021, the apartment continues to evolve. The quiet 18,000 BTU Mitsubishi heat pump will provide serious cooling and heat when required. There is also a HEPA air cleaner on the floor just below it.

From the bath to the living room, the apartment is very comfortable.
The bath vanity is just outside of the enclosure for the toilet and shower. This provides maximum accessibility for guests. We provide beach towels (2), an assortment of essentials in case you forgot any of yours, plus a hair dryer.

In addition to providing solar energy to the property, the 27 solar panels shade the metal roof. Sometimes the temperature can climb 25º outside and only rise 3-4º on the inside WITHOUT the air conditioning running. It is a very well insulated building. Four new comfortable chairs were added to the balcony replacing the aluminum chairs.
New Levolor room darkening blinds were installed in September 2019. These can be raised/lowered from the top or bottom.

Virtually everything we can think of, we pack into this apartment. Rice has travelled extensively and knows what makes for a comfortable stay. Pam adds her touches everywhere, especially in the library, which has books about Texas, by Texan authors, and on current fiction.
